I was 10 years old in 1967 and it was my first year as a fan. Thanks to Friendly Bob Adams, the games were broadcast down to Lafayette Louisiana (hard to believe) where I lived.
It was a great year, and sadly, it's been basically down hill since.
But I keep the faith.
Thanks again for the fond rembembrances.

Wow, a kindred spirit. 1967 was my first year as a Sox fan too. What great timing - 1968, 69 and 70 weresome of the most brutal years that i could remember as a fan.

Man what a year. I remember an SI cover that read in big bold headlines... 4 FOR THE FLAGG! Down to the last weekend with 4 teams fighting it out.
