What can I say? He pitched pretty well except for that pair of 3 run homers. :D:

I'm pissed:angry: The prior record for the Yanks being blown out in a shutout was 15-0 against the CHICAGO WHITE SOX!!!!:bandance: :bandance: :bandance: It happened in 1950.:D: That was also at The House Ruth Built.

On Baseball Tonight, Kruk was saying the Loaiza has quit on the Yankees and should never pitch for them again. I just find it comical for the fat man to rip on anyone for quitting on their teammates after the crap he pulled in his final game. He is a waste of space on tv.

Funny thing on BBTN. Krucker RIPPED Esty. Said he has no heart and disgraced his team, and he got rocked because he didn't throw his cutter BLAH BLAH BLAH. You're wrong Kruk, he just SUCKS! Esteban always wanted to do well, he just lost 4 mph on his fastball. That's a fact that genious Harold Reynolds pointed out about 50 times during the highlights. Every three seconds while Loaiza was pitching Reynolds says, "He's got no velocity on that fastball". And they, along w/ sir stutter Peter Gammons, the people who wondered why KW was shopping Esty. What a steal for the YANKS....

:eloaiza:
"With my goatee went the rest of my velocity...hey that rhymes!"

"I don't know what happened! I thought we were getting a 2-time all star! I still think our rotations matches up with Boston and Oakland. They still have their weak links. No reason to fear! The Yankees will still win the World Series!"

You can pretty much shrug aside whatever that bitch wrote, but I'm waiting for a "correction" from the Baseball Prospectus guy.

That one was even worse.

He had some good points though... Esty is consistent and all you need to do against Contreras is sit on the low sinkerball and "it's over." :D:

Relative to everyone else, he pitched quite well. He pitched 2 of the Indians only 3 scoreless innings

Seriously though, he did break up Omar Vizquels record setting attempt at 7-7, so he at least played spoiler....then gave up 2 3 run bombs.

183 mil vs. 35 mil... I'm still laughing. I'm so happy right now. Be happier if they didn't make playoffs.

Here are a few tidbits from the Yankees MLB fan forum:

The only reason we got Loaiza was because we missed out on Randy Johnson. Contreras was up and down at the time.So Cashman made a last minute call to get Loaiza just for the sake of getting a pitcher

The Whitesox were laughing they couldnt wait to see the back of Estebum

Then Cashman trys to say it was a salary dump, after Loaiza had lost his first few starts,we all know $ is not a issue with the yankees He hasnt helped us one bit as a starter and will do nothing from the pen,he is not coming back next year so release him and give a kid like Hasley or Ming Wang a go
we should of waited to the offseason to trade Contreras for some decent prospects
Estebums Stats as a Yankee

8.46 era 45 hits 8 hrs 15 walks 2.17 whip 5.93 slg where are all the Estebum supporters now,i remember seeing posts about him being a ace our savior etc ....LOLHere's my favorite:
Contreras was also garbage. At least Loaiza had won 20 + the year before.

If somehow they could brainwash Esty into thinking it was 2003 when he goes out there, maybe he would win 20 again. I think he's hurt and not telling anyone- he wasn't this bad when he was his old 1990s-early 2000s Elo with Toronto and Texas.

One of those other posts was correct in saying that this was not a salary dump by the Yanks- they don't do that, they don't care about salary. If Contreras pitches well, it's a bad trade for them.

Oh, Omar Vizquel just got another hit.

Nothing -- NOTHING -- beats watching the Yankees get destroyed. **

HA HA HA HA HA! Dance, 'Nana, dance! :bandance:

**assuming that the White Sox maintain their current course of NEVER contending for the World Series, never mind deluding ourselves into thinking they could ever actually WIN it.
