Mike Jackson was FINALLY waived today. Unfortunately it's too late to make much of a difference. Diaz will start tomorrow and Grilli gets pushed back to Wednesday. Good riddance Mike Jackson!

The same must be done with Robbie Alomar. Out of respect for Jose, he should be kept with the team. However he should not see the field another day (maybe one last start on the last day of the year).

Don't get me wrong I am delighted that Mike Jackson is gone, but if this move could be made now, why couldn't it have been made two or three months ago. If they weren't going to cut him 3 months ago, they should have at least kept him on the team so they didn't look so stupid in cutting him now.

Cause he would have been a VITAL part of a pennent race for the White Sox.

I'm sure it was done so he can hook on with a contender for the stretch ... HA HA HA HA.

And how are we going to know when the game is officially a lost cause now?

NOW we can print those playoff tickets! :bandance:

Mike's career has ended. It always makes me sad when a player doesn't have the opportunity to end on his own terms.

Bet Jamie Burke is smiling. Maybe MJ can ringy dingy his good buddy Torii and see if he can't finish it with the twins, that jackhole.

HOW COULD HE NOT RETALIATE AGAINST THAT TOOL?!

Someone call Jim Hendry. We've got the perfect replacement for Kyle Farnsworth.

HOW COULD HE NOT RETALIATE AGAINST THAT TOOL?!Torii Hunter is a punk. This much I knew 2 years ago when he charged the mound after being hit by a Bobby Howry offspeed pitch.Let the Burke incident go.Yes,it was borderline dirty, but if Aaron Rowand bowled over Joe Maurer,Sox fans would cheer, right??If the Sox really wanted to retaliate, they win the next 2 games by large margins and send those punk Twinkies back to Minihaha with their tails stuck up their kiesters.
But we all know what REALLY happened.:(: :(: :(:

He is missing his next start as well. They are being really cautious (as they should be) with Freddy.

What was your favorite memory of the Mike Jackson Era! The clubhouse meetings he called? His ass-kicking earlier in the year?

Blast the guy for his pitching all you want. But he was a clubhouse leader and, even more importantly, never a dick to the media or fans.

You could say the same about Billy Koch, too. And to both of them, I say SEEYA!

I'm sure both parties reciprocate on this one- we're glad he's gone, and I'm sure that washed-up has-been is probably more than thrilled to not have to bother with this train wreck of a team anymore...

Now if KW would just get the rest of the dead weight off the roster. Make Sandy Alomar a coach already.

During yesterdays game DJ was talking about Jamie Burke and the conversation turned to the make up of next years catching tandem.

Hawk said he would like to see the Sox stick with 3 catchers and to bring Sandy Alomar back, because it gives Ozzie flexibility.:?:

Sandy was finished a couple of years ago.

I kind of feel sorry for Mike. Like someone else mentioned, it sort of sad to see a guy's career end on terms that aren't his own.

Heres the REAL QUESTION now that Mike Jackson has been released (and in a roundabout way, admit to the Media-if theyre paying attention-and the Fans,
they Screwed up)

Will Uncle Jerry and Kenny Williams LEARN that Saving Money isnt the way
to build a Bullpen/Team?

WHy do we keep bringing this guy back? He's a waste. And to pay him $750 K is ridiculous. Make him a coach. I don't care how good he is at calling pitches; his dead weight on the roster has made up for the loss of a roster spot.
