Ed Farmer on the pregame show today, Sunday, indicated that Freddy's forearm tightened up again today during his warm-ups. Not good.

Blame the Junior Lizard.

I bet that one pitch in the 8th, the one HR meatball he threw as the 118th pitch is the one that tweaked it.

There's gotta be some kinda pitcher's mentality that he's done and he can rest his dead arm when he gets out of a tough 7th inning with a lead and 117 pitches thrown.

Will he ever pitch again?

Does this mean we'll have to expect Garland to step it up again? :(:

EDIT: Just as I got done typing this, Garland gives up yet another Home Run. Please dump this heart-less piece of ****!

Even if Judy has been tacky, you were too.

I knew Freddy like to drink and party and would be too hunover to pitch at least once, but now twice....im worried.

Too soon to say whether that's necessary, but I'd DL him retroactive to 8/22. Let's get somebody else up here from AAA (shudder) and err on the side of caution with Garcia.

Who cares...the season's over. Freddy will have five months to heal before Spring Training.

Of course I do get flashbacks to Antonio Osuna!

i think i can recall a few other situations in years past with a few pitchers where an initial diagnosis of tight forearm became torn elbow ligament a few weeks later. not saying this is that, but tight forearm always scares me a big.

Newsday/AP reporting that Garcia will miss Wed. start and Grilli will pitch. Sox to decide this week about Garcia on the dl.
