they still insist they have had a MUCH better season---well lets see--Sox have out HRd them and they have had one player hit 60+ and Frank has been out all year--outscored them--the ERA aint THAT much better--and then the telling tale===they have 5(count em) 5 more wins--ooh yeah---I see it now--much better--- makes a movement with his hand like tossing salt

Although I think 5 more wins in the far weaker national league is essentially a dead heat, the cubs were in the race for much of the year.

Third place = loser. Second place = loser. I think what has Cubs fans peeing in their pants is finishing over .500. Their team does it so rarely it's a bit of a novelty.
