The White Sox will likely call up Wilson Valdez from Class AAA once rosters expand in September.
The 26-year-old infielder, who was acquired from Florida in the Billy Koch deal in June, is hittting .311 and has nine stolen bases in 54 games with Charlotte. With Roberto Alomar, Willie Harris, Juan Uribe and Jose Valentin all looking for regular playing time, it's hard to see how Valdez will be anything more than a pinch-runner when he joins the White Sox. i say let Alomar go and try this guy. couldnt be worse.
