If this post is up already, I apologize, I would be 0-2 today. If not, what would be the best outcome for the Sox during this series. Do we want one team to sweep? Do we want the Twins to win 2 out of 3? Keep in mind the Tribe has to face the Yankees next week with ARod so I'm hoping that will help out too.

Given the standings, a Cleveland sweep would be a blessing, provided we win our games.

I'd say the tribe sweep or at least take 2/3. Either wil do.

Though none of that will matter if we don't take care of our own business!

Yanks can't even handle the twinkies right now :(

WE need twinks to lose though they have better pitching, and we're heading down the stretch here.

I think we need the tribe to take all three. While I would love to see a sweep of Boston at the same time, it's probably not gonna happen, but right now we have to be concerned about catching firat place, and the best way to do that is win while first place loses. The Indians can then lose to the Yanks and we pass them and move right up on the Twins.

The bottom line is that although we are behind both the Twins and the Indians, we want the first place team to lose. The key is to gain ground on 1st place.

He's right. I would rather have a 3 horse race and only be a length or two behind heading down the stretch than have a 2 horse race where I have to make up 4 or 5 lengths.

Say we win tonight, the Yankees win tonight, and we're back to 4 games out. If we take 2 from Boston and Cleveland takes 2 from Minnesota, we're only 3 games out of 1st, and a measly half game out of 2nd. If Minnesota takes 2 of 3, we're in second, but we're still 4 games out of 1st.

I would be more pleased with the 3 games out scenario when we head out on the road.
