Mike Mussina makes his first start off the DL after already having a sub-par season. He's set to face Santana who is just unstoppable.

But if the twins blow it, I'm sure the Sox will find a way to play like crap too.

Of course the Twins get to play the Yanks when Alex Rodriguez is out...

doesn't seem to matter. Santana has been pretty good.

On a side note after watching the game:

Dear ESPN,

Regarding Chris Berman, please take one of the following actions.

1) Fire him and torch his home.
2) Relegate him to football broadcasts and football related material only.

Sincerely Yours

Tolley Jenkins

I completely agree. This guy has nicknames for everybody and it gets flat out annoying.

Totally agreed. Berman is a horridly bad baseball announcer.

Just wondering...

Has my point been proven yet about not 'who' you play but 'when'?

The Yanks are in cruise mode since they are already in the post season for all intents and purposes.

It goes hand in hand with those who kept insisting the Twins 'hard' schedule was going to be their Waterloo.

Well ndgt10 is right as well: J.Giambi is out. A.Rod is out. Enrique Wilson, M.Cairo, J.Olerud and K.Lofton are terrible. Bernie Williams is old and almost done. Jeter and Posada are fine, Matsui is a good hitter, and Sheffield is their best hitter right now.

Their current lineup without A-Rod is dubious at best. I don't know how this $180MM team has such a weak lineup. Part of me feels all warm inside when I think that the Yankees have something like $80MM tied up in 5 players over 33 years old for the next 3 years.

Of course they did. They caught lightening in a bottle for a few weeks but are now coming back down to earth. Sucks for their fans to get there hopes up, but I can't say I feel sorry for them.

I'd like to see that lightning in a bottle for at least one more weekend.

That's like Felix Diaz vs.Santana; total mismatch.:(: :(:
