Thank gosh we have Alomar and Diaz!

Now there is the real Jose (Joe) Valentine that everyone mistypes Valentin's name for.

Meanwhile, Borchard continues to stink up the majors.

And that has what to do with a thread that was talking about Jamie Burke?

Geez.

There are those of us who believe that it should have been Borchard, not Burke, who was sent down for Diaz.

Surely, Burke doing well at AAA helps this argument, no?

It should be Alomar as bench coach, with Davis and Burke platooning, sure.

Or maybe release Mike Jackson and keep Burke on the team.

Valentine allowed no runs and got the win...... how could he have given up a HR to Burke?

He didn't. Scott Etherton started the game for Louisville and that's who Burke got the homer off of. Valentine came in relief and got the win.

I must have misread or misinterpreted the original post.

I was at this game. Derrin Bragg was all over the damned place. He made 2 leaping catches at the wall in left-center, robbing a double on one and maybe a HR on the other, then made a diving catch in right-center as Kenny Kelly cut his legs out from under him and he just about landed on his face on the track, but hung onto the ball (HR-rob and diving catche were same inning). Guess who was the first man up in the bottom of that inning? You guessed it. Bragg hit a long opposite field HR on the first pitch for the game-winning run.

Unreal.

Believe it or not, we really need him in the bullpen right now, unless some other options become available we're stuck with him.
