Are the simulated gale winds blowing off the mighty Mississippi River basin?

Minny is losing 6-3 to Oakland in the bottom of the 18th.....

Wishful thinking. I know the Sox couldn't last that long with our bullpen.

And the Twins don't have an off day for another week to recover. I feel so bad for them.

Augie Ojeda at 2B for the Twinks.I cannot believe the White Sox front office has let these mongrels beat us for the '04 division title. What other waste-oids is Gardenhire hiding on the far end of his bench?

Also, the Twins needed their 5th starter Terry Mulholland (the same Mulholland that gave up the 3 runs to the A's) in relief so that further causes problems for them. He was scheduled to go on Tuesday, but that might not happen anymore.

If Kyle Lohse gets rocked tomorrow, I'll bet they STILL leave him in just to eat up innings, otherwise the Twins could very well completely fry their bullpen. Not only are they playing without an off day coming up, they're also travelling to Seattle. Kind of a long flight if you're battle weary.

Then they have to worry about Tuesday. I wouldn't be shocked if they go to a farmhand for that start.

If Rich Harden can get the job done tomorrow, and we can somehow find a way to win against Westbrook, things might not be so bleak after all.

There is slim optimism at best, but slim optimism is better than no optimism.
