Too bad Baines is one of the coaches, we could probably use a bat like his right now....

YES

But I think the Sox would have trouble aquiring him with the deadline passing and all.

why the hell would anyone want that joke of a player back? dont you all remember his horrible baserunning, lack of emotion and laziness?? We have enough lazy heartless people on this team and DJ sure the hell shouldnt be back to join them.

Not to give you a hard time, but why do you miss E-blow and DJ?? And secondly, would you rather have Olivo or Garcia on our team right now?

I didn't vote for Daubach, but I'll say one thing for him: at least the man could get himself a base-on-balls once in a while for cripes sake. We never seem to have any baserunners these days. But he's playing at AAA Pawtucket right now since the BoSox don't have a roster spot for him. So, he could come very, very cheap!

As he should. He's horrible.

Brian Daubach (http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/stats?statsId=6118) (2003 with White Sox)
.230 AVG
.352 OBP

His numbers this season are even worse.

I don't know, I think it's possible he could be acquired through waivers.

but look at his numbers when he was a starter
w/Boston Red Sox 1999-2002 (http://www.briandaubach.org/brianstats.html)
If we start him in RF/DH/1B,then we can really make a comeback

I think it'd be neat to see Alvarez, but I don't see the Dodgers dropping him while relying on pitching.

Actually, no I didn't. I guess I forgot to use the teal option. I was being a smart ass, sort of taking a swipe at the Sox as if to say, "I'm surprised we don't just go after this guy again too while we're at it."

because....E-LO..and D'lo were awesome....maybe not the best players...but i mean come on...E-lo was a 21-game winner last year..he might of been able to get back to that..well i guess Garcia...but...Olivo was soo good....

Realistically, I think Sully has the best chance of coming back.

Personally, I'd like to see Herbert Perry. We didn't see him in the @Texas series; is he on the DL or has he been benched? In either case, he's still better than Crede.

That's because Manuel refused to play Daubach, and kept sending Konerko out there day after day.

This season between Ventura and Crede it's a toss-up.

(Please don't argue this I know Ventura can't play now - let me live in nostalgia)

If he came back then we could field a Harold, Ozzie, Joey, KW, Darrin Jackson and Ventura team at the end of the season when it's already lost. That would bring the fans back!

The proof of why we need him is in the signature...

ill go with Ray d, but lofton hated playing for the sox. he was raised a cubs fan and never felt comfortable playing for the Southies. which is kinda weird considering he did pretty damn well for us, so i guess his love for the Losers didnt affect him as much as he says it did.

HEY.......

Although I was only 10 at the time....bring back the 77 South Side Hitmen

1. Soderholm (can get you some great seats)

We have just taken care of 3B, RF and DH - Chet can back up.........

1. Seaver/Trout/Hoyt/Burns/Parque/Dotson - potential 5th starters
2. Julio "Juice" Cruz
3. Joey Belle
4. Ron Kittle
5. The Bull Luzinski (I was a game when he got a stolen base)

it is Friday 13.....

Althoug Bobby Howry sure looked good for the Cleveland.

I'd say Todd Ritchie.. speaking of Todd, i found out where he was hiding these days... I was in North Carolina visiting some inlaws and we figured we'd go to the Durham Bulls Game (Durham Bulls are the Tampa Bay AAA team) and good ol Todd was pitching for the Bulls... Ol boy cant even get a spot on the team in Tampa!! He was soooo worth all those people we gave up for him i tell ya.

Wilbur Wood would be a great addition, too.
