On an inning ending fielder's choice play at second base, the Rockie runner slid into Nomar Garciaparra who was covering second base. Nomar came up limping. But knowing the golden horseshoe up the arse kind of luck the Cubs have, he'll probalby still play.

Any word as to whether he's hurt or not? I don't really care about the Cubs as a baseball team, but I love imagining the looks on the faces of every moron that gave Garciaparra a standing ovation just for coming to play at Wrigley if he really was hurt already.

I'm waiting for the "Nomar Watch" to begin.

The good news is Nomar sucks as a Cub - offensively AND defensively.

The bad news of course is that it will be very hard for SF and SD to challenge the Cubs for the WC - talent-wise, flubbies are head and shoulders above them.

He's fine, Viva.

I'd love to know where this golden horseshoe luck is, btw.
