If the Sox win, we can get back to 5 games. Texas just won so can't gain any ground on the wild card.

GO SOX!!!

Let's just hope that this is the start of a long losing streak for the twinkies.

Don't make me get out Gary Coleman here. Who cares what the Twins do?

The standings are irrelevant unless we get back to playing good baseball.

Last I checked, the Twins were still the team we are chasing in the division, thus very relavent to the Sox chances of making the post season. That being said, you are right that we just need to get wins and take care of our own house. However, it doesn't hurt to see how the other team is doing.

Outside of our own performance, the Twins are the only other team I care about. Nothing wrong with caring that if they lose, and we win, we gain ground.

I am more optimistic about: "Valentin homers, Uribe scores."

Clayton is trash, and Miles is a poor man's Uribe.

Miles .314 BA (2nd baseman bating lead off no less)
Clayton .278

I realize that these are inflated due to the Colorado air... but I don't know about being the poormans anything
