Juan Uribe mired in a 13-for-97 slump over his last 28 games
Crede batted .198 (18-for-91) in July, emblematic of the White Sox's Major League-worst team average of .226. Jose Valentin, with no hits in his last 24 at-bats and one in his last 31, comes off a July where he posted a .124 average (11-for-89).
That right there....that is our problem! We may have a pitcher out there who's doing a half way decent job, but the numbers some of our guys are putting up with the bats JUST DON'T CUT IT. If a pitcher only gives up 3 runs in a game, that does absolutely nothing for us if we can only put one run on the board to back him up! Let's get the bats going, guys! There's more ways to score than just home runs.
