This year I've been going up and down, not a lot of run support. Here, you get a lot of run support and do my own business.C'mon E-Lo, that's asinine. You're starting to sound like Jaime Navarro ...

The Sox cant help that he gave up 5+ runs in a quite a few of his starts.

You need a lot of run support when you can't keep your own pitches in the park! What a dumbarse!

Paulie goes deep- clearing the bases and a 7-0 lead in the fifth. Welcome aboard Mr. Contreras. Er...Este... you were saying about run support????

Loaiza is full of sh....er...gems.

Remember the one about him expecting "Freddy Garcia money or more"?

Or the one where he basically blamed Rowand for not taking away that HR in Okaland as though it was to be merely a FO before Aaron knocked it over the fence?

By all accounts Loaiza is a nice guy, but he's definately got a little Sammy in him. :bandance:

That was basically when I started to get tired of the guy, he's no where near as good as Freddy and how can he whine about run support, it's because of his support he has a descent record.

Loaiza is a mediocre pitcher who caught lightning in a bottle one year and now seems to believe he is a superstar. When Gammons commented on the trade, he said it was the Yankees trading one pitcher who was not going to get a playoff start for another who was not going to get a playoff start. That certainly is more realistic than the guy who said the Sox gave up their best pitcher. Ouch!!! Personally, I hope the Yankees give him Garcia money.

Loaiza... what a dirty pig. Thank you Jose Contreras for your 2 earned runs in 6 innings pitched. You could have pitched two more innings if it wasn't 93 degrees in KC. I don't even miss Loaiza now. Later E-Lo!!! Now we get Contreras at $6 million a year for two more seasons instead of E-Lo who wanted $9 million a season!

you forgot the part about "and then he posts a 5.00 ERA"

you forgot the part about "and then he posts a 5.00 ERA"You really don't have to hope for that because it will most likely happen.

The 2001 Bears and Loaiza are one and the same. One good year than. Well ........you Know.

The thing that ticks me off is that Loaiza couldn't keep a lead. He'd give up a few runs, then the offense would pick him up and score a few runs. Immediately in the next inning, Loaiza would go out and give up the lead. Loaiza, if you had a mid 2 ERA again this year, it'd be okay to whine about run support, but you were nearing a 5 ERA! It's pretty hard to record a win when you can't keep a lead! I respect the guy for his efforts last year, but he needs to keep quiet right now. You DO NOT complain to the media about ANYTHING other than your own efforts when you have a 5 ERA

That's true. Maybe the Sox didn't WANT to give him run support because every time they scored 2 he'd give up 4 the next half-inning.

You guys are right on the money. Anyone with an ERA over 5 bitching about run support ought to look himself in the mirror once in a while. Clement could bitch about run support, but Loaiza? Hell no!

Every expert can tell you this;he fell in love with his cut fastball. When he couldn't get it over for strikes as he did in '03,the opposition hit him hard. They'll continue to do so until his velocity comes back and Mel Stottlemyre (Yankmees pitching coach) convinces him to go with the heater or the curve. Being 10TH in run support doesn't give you a reason to cry,
E-Blow.GROW UP,FOOL!!

Loaiza's first start with the Yankmees is today against Oakland. The Yankmees had better get ready to score a bunch of runs against Rich Harden who has held his opponents to batting .124 in his last four starts.

Also, check out the picture of Loaiza wearing a beard with a Yankees hat on.

I've been a Loaiza advocate and even blamed part of his pitching woes on what appeared to be bad blood between him and Ozzie.

Now I'm giving kudos to sending the big baby packing.

I hope he gives it up tonight, and makes Billy Koch look like a God when he whimpers off the field.

A's 1-0Unbelievable, one of the ESPN announcers is saying that Loaiza was unhappy in Chicago. What is that all about? Why would he have been unhappy? Loaiza was part of the reason we weren't winning. He didn't even beat the A's when he faced them this year.

ESPN should do some research before they make statements, idiots

May I ask, where is the quote from?

The ESPN announcers - first off, the worst combo in the history of baseball, Berman and Brantley - are totally just stroking Loaiza... Stroke that 5.00 ERA...

Next time you watch, or are forced to watch, Jeff Brantley, notice how many times his "color commentary" is simply him giggling and not saying anything. Is there a more annoying combination than Berman and Brantley? These guys make Ron Santo look like the hall-of famer he believes he is......
