Time to put your predictions out there. Will he pitch well enough in his first start out of the NY spotlight to earn a win? Or should the question be will the Sox offense show up enough against KC to support him.

I'm saying yes mainly because I'm optimistic and feel the Sox SHOULD handle a team 29 games under .500

I have high long term hopes for Conteras, but I think he's going to let us down in his first game in a WHite Sox uniform

Why? I mean I hope he wins and the royals are not real good, but you arent seriously going to judge him. I hope if he is bad tomorrow that people arent going to get all over him and say esteban is better. We didnt trade cy young for him, we traded esteban freaking loaiza for him. A guy with an ERA close to 5 who is a FA

If he is bad tomorrow there will definitely be people who say the trade was awful just based on that performance.

It's a must-win if KW and Jose want to get any respect from the media.

He could pitch 10 perfect games after tomorrow, but if he gets shelled and Esty doesn't, we'll never hear the end of it.

Luckily we're playing a basement dwellar.

Personally I think he'll dominate. A guaranteed quality start.

Yeah, I think the chances of him winning are pretty good.

Against the Royals, a team that Tampa swept, I'd say his chances are better than average.

If our offense scores 4 runs for him and Shingo makes an apperance in the 9th...put the win on the board.

Chisox 126, KC -6

Jose pitches perfect game with the minimum 27 pitches

Everybody on the SOx hits a cycle and then proceed to do it 3 more times!

seriously I think he gives up 2 ER 7 hits in 7.2 innings and the Sox win 7-2

He doesnt make it out of the first inning, gives up 10 earned runs (but strikes out 1). In the middle of the game KW trades him to florida for billy koch and billy the marlin

I say 6 innings, 8 hits, 6 K's, 2 BBs, 4 ER...ND

I voted he'll win because I'm confident he'll pitch well against the Royals.

The only thing that has me worried, though, is that the Sox are facing a guy they've never seen before, and he's pitched well his last three games, not giving up more than two runs in each of them. We all know how the Sox do against pitchers like that which they haven't faced before---even when Frank & Maggs are both in the lineup!

I was pretty close with my prediction, I knew it would be an butt whooping. However if tomorrow a certain team from Kansas city fields a team of mini-ditkas! Then my friend we are screwed, because DITKA is GOD!

Nice win!:dtroll: :dtroll: :dtroll: :dtroll:
