1. KW is trying to get hasegawa from the M's. 2. Yesterday he rejected a trade which would of sent preston wilson here.

I'd rather have Hasegawa than Mike Jackson. That is all.

I'd rather have Hasegawa than Mike Jackson. That is all.Jackson's ERA is lower, even though he sucks. And we would have to give up sometime to get Hasegawa, whereas we can just stick with Jackson and not give up anything.

I concur. Don't like Hasegawa too much, but I do like him better than Mr. Jackson.

And I don't want Preston. Too many injuries, too many K's, too much money, and too much Coors.

I would rather have Scott Sullivan. Any reason why the Sox didn't sign him?

Jackson is great about giving up Runs to inherited runners, those don't count towards his era...

Jackson is great about giving up Runs to inherited runners, those don't count towards his era...That is true. But do you think giving up possibly a mid level prospect or even a low level is worth it for Hasegawa?

Never said that, I just said that Jackson is much worse than Hasagawa...

Good point. Also, why didn't the Sox sign Tom Gordon either? :whiner:Because the yanks offered him a ton of money.

Doesn't do anything for me, except that Shingo will have someone to talk too in the bullpen! But honestly, he is better then Jackson, but then again so are 100 other middle relievers. I like the Baltimore deal for Harriston and either Julio/Ryan better. Has Levine mentioned anything on that? Or was that water cooler talk?

Because the yanks offered him a ton of money. You're right. Tom Gordon is making $3,500,000 from the Yankees but this Hasegawa guy is making $2,750,000 this season and Gordon has been 100 times better than Hasegawa.

Seattle will be willing to eat that money just to get him off the books.

I would love to see Hasegawa here. He keeps the ball in the park.

I would also like to see us get Victor Zambrano if he is available. He keeps the ball in the park, too.

Anything that helps negate the 2 out longballs this team serves up is fine by me.

Good point. Also, why didn't the Sox sign Tom Gordon either? :whiner:Because of a man named Billy Koch, who ate up $6.5 million of the payroll. If the Sox didn't have Koch this offseason, they could have re-signed Gordon, and picked up Urbina. But if this happened, it is doubtful Shingo would have been here.

I would love to see Hasegawa here. He keeps the ball in the park.Keep in mind Safeco isn't a hitters park and The Cell has yielded the 2nd most homers of any stadium this year. FWIW.

Hasegawa pitches at safeco though. Which is like the black hole of the long ball, whereas us, who play in coors 2.0...

We have all seen what happened to freddy.

I'll take Shingo. He's putting people in the seats at the Cell.
