He bats left, can Dh, and play 1b when needed...Lifetime batting avg in the .280's, almost 500 long balls, and would probably play for next to nothing....It would be a crime not to at least consider this as an option....

All he is doing is swinging for the fences to get to 500....we already have enough of those guys.

We've hit six home runs in the past three games and lost all three.
We don't need another slugger. We need a leadoff man who gets on base. we need a good, smart baserunner. Robbie Alomar would help a lot more than McGriff.

He worked out with the Yankees. Supposedly they are going to pick him up.
