I'll set it at 131. I know this is a stupid thread, but I thought it would be funny. Thats definitely one Harrelson call I do not want to miss. Hopefully it comes at a time when we need a clutch hit.

BTW, it wouldnt mind if he'd start stealing bases on a regular basis....

Supposedly he has pop in his bat. Where can I find minor league stats to see if he hit any in the minors?

Willies 2002 AAA Charlotte #'s.

With Charlotte, Harris hit .283 with 5 HR, 33 RBI, 16 doubles, and 32 stolen bases (4th in the IL) in just 89 games.

he has pop, word is, but that doesn't mean he's capable of hitting one now

he's just trying to get on base any way. . .the only way i can see him hitting one is if he drives one to the gap that carries and bounces off the top of the wall.

Willie's next Homer will be next week at AAA after the Sox send him down when they get Jeff Kent.

he's got as much pop as a lemonade stand

the only way he can hit a home run in the big leagues is if the opposing team puts in a little leaguer to pitch to him. And that's if he doesnt throw overhand

bottom line: willie harris isn't gonna get a home run anytime soon. I hope I am wrong, but im pretty sure that im right on this one

I saw him homer and double to deep left-center on July 26, 2002 against KC. I also saw him hit a fly ball to the warning track in left field in the first or second game of the Toronto series this year.

If Paul Konerko can hit an inside-the-park home run, Willie can.

Let him bat from second base

Frank Thomas could hit more home runs left-handed than Harris can. The man will not hit a home run this season.

hmm...we seem to collectively be in favor of "just steal a base you damn baby." I wonder why?

You guys are too obsessed with home runs. Homers are overrated, and often kill rallies.

My guy Nellie Fox hit two home runs in 1959, and was the American League MVP. He had three seasons for the Sox in which he didn't hit any homers, and the most he ever hit was six in a year. Anybody here who would not want him playing second right now?

he has plenty of pop - what are you guys talking about!!!?? If there is anyone in the sox lineup that can serve up a solid infield pop up to short it is willie harris!!! I havent seen anyone that can pop it up or ground it to short quite like willie!!

I'm predicting that Willie hits a "rally killing" homer Saturday night, July 31, 2004.

homers really kill rallies when they are of the walk off variety. they prevent anyone else from being allowed to bat for the rest of the game. how terrible.

Unless it's an inside-the-park homer, I don't see it happening.

Sorry, Willie!
