Watching the Offense that has been fairly dormant recently, and with Frank out till September, adn Mags out till god knows when, I'm wondering about the availability of a run producer like a Carlos Delgado, Steve Finley, or possibly Carlos Beltran.Even with Paulie hitting the way he has been lately, we can't expect him Carlos, and Jose to carry the whole load of producing runs.

Definitely. Watching the game last night and our #6 hitter was Timo Perez?? The lineup looks pretty weak without Maggs and Frank, and its really going to start to show!

Now is the time for small ball that Ozzie ranted about all spring to take shape. Besides CLee and Paulie we have NO power. We need to get guys on base, bunt, steal, anything to get them in scoring in position and then bring them in. Our pitching is better than the twins, our lineup still might be better than their's. We need to beat them at their own game. the Marlins were world champs last year and only 2 guys would scare you in that lineup (IRod and Lowell). We can do it, have faith!!:bandance: :bandance: :dtroll: :)

What about Pierre and Castillo and the top of their line-up? THat is what we need two guys that get on at the top of the line-up.

If you can find Juan Pierre and Luis Castillo clones on the Sox or in their system somewhere, I'll nominate you for next GM. It's hard to steal when the fastest guy is rarely on base, and seems to be apprehensive about running when he is on. Furthermore, this team doesn't bunt well, most of the players are not high OBP guys, and is not very good at situational hitting.

I still think they can win this thing, but they have to do it the way they have been built to do it- hitting homeruns, hopefull with guys on base.

What would it cost the Sox to get Matt Stairs? Is Juan Gonzalez heathy?
