SHINGO!

It is his first year in the majors..That gig in Japan doesn't count!

Shingo might have a shot if he had more saves. I say crosby out in oakland gets it. Unless cliff lee is officially a rookie, then he has the inside track

Realistically, Victor Martinez from Cleveland:
.308, 77 RBI, 17 HR.

I was going to suggest Bobby Crosby because I didn't know if Martinez was eligible or not.

If Martinez is eligible it's a slam-dunk. At least it should be (no offense to Takatsu).

Martinez doesn't qualify for ROY, he's had too much ML playing time.

At current pace I'd say Lew Ford in the AL and Jason Bay in the NL.

That is what I thought, but I wasn't sure.

BTW nice picks; those both seem pretty realistic.

Shingo's awesome but Martinez has been at it all year. (Not that that's Shingo's fault, it's really Ozzie's for trusting Koch, but that's the way the cookie crumbles.)

I dont want shingo to win it. hes 35 years old. and while i love what he has done for this club, id rather have one of the young guys get it.
