Cubs sign Hocking



Denny Hocking planned to attend Thursday's game at Dodger Stadium until his phone rang.Out of baseball for three weeks, the erstwhile Rockies utility player signed a minor-league contract with the Cubs. He is expected to make his debut today against Triple-A Colorado Springs.
