Cleveland is said to be in attempts to get Danny Graves or Everyday Eddie G for Coco Crisp...

Thoughts?

The Indians are becoming a very formidable opponent.

That sux, they are not far behind, and they believe they have a good shot and they do. I will die if we lose this division this year to Cleveland

In addition to my first post I want to be on record as saying the the Indians will be getting nothing but better each year...

With the addition of the Tigers becoming better and better, this division is going to turn into on of the most fierce in all of baseball.

This is why I think the Sox really need to put it all on the line this year, the future doesnt really matter, we have had close to 90 years of futility, we must win now. Our window of oppurtunity is this year and next.

Sounds like you're a little more than friends.....

Anyway, if they get any of those guys its a huge boost, considering they lost like 20+ games after the 7th. They cant go back in time and fix that, but they can substantially reduce the times in happens in the future. Also, they have enough head to head games with us and the Twins to make this a 3 horse race, hell maybe even four depending on how Detroit plays.

BTW, whats your source on this? Link?

Cincinnati still has a solid chance for a wild card, I doubt they'll trade Graves unles something horrible happens to them before July 31

If the Indians were to get a real bullpen, they would run away with this division.

Thats a bold statement. If they always had a real bullpen, then you're right they'd already be running away with it. But to say run away with it now? Come on...Crazier things have happened, but I have a little more faith in our team down the stretch that to say Graves or Guardado makes the Indians "run away with this division".

Then that is where we disagree.

... but I will quickly dispell any notion of this "more than frds" talk...

I am a Sox fan, not a cubs fan.

Think about it

Crisp has become clevelands every day centerfielder I'm not sure they'd part with him and 2nd if that's all cinci or seattle wants for either of those guys I'd think kenny would make a push for either.

Well I see the proposed deal is crisp and phillips that's a little different that's a strong package to compete with. Still mlb forums aren't really a good source for trade rumors.

This is a completely unsubstatiated rumor from a message board, and it doesn't belong in Sox Clubhouse.

Down the stretch, I think the Indians will fade. They don't have the veteran pitching staff to win games against good teams especially in the playoffs. I see a veteran team like the White Sox or Twins winning.
