The Philadelphia Inquirer reports it is unlikely the Philadelphia Phillies will sign RP Jose Paniagua to a minor-league contract. Paniagua, who pitched for four teams in eight big-league seasons, auditioned for the Phillies in New York recently. Is the Phillies' ownership completely insane? What in the hell is there to consider? Did they not see what this hot-head did with us last season? He is worse than Zambrano.

The Phillies must've mistakened his 108 ERA for a 1.08 ERA

It's pretty sick that a guy can have a 108.00 ERA for a season without it actually being a mistake. What a scrub he was.

The Flubs should sign him.
He'd fit in perfectly with Wood, Zambrano, and Hawkins. :D:

Vegyrex, very good call!

But the Phillies did hire Bowa as manager, so no one should be too surprised.

Jose Paniagua... that name enrages me to this day. They shouldn't allow him to be within 50 yards of a pitcher's mound after last year's fiasco.
