"Twenty-nine other organizations are going to come to Pawtucket, the bus is going to be driving in from the airport or from their hotel in Providence, and they’re going to hit this neighborhood and see the three-story tenement houses and drop their teeth," PawSox owner Ben Mondor said. "And then they’re going to see McCoy Stadium and think, ‘Why did we drop $40 million on our new stadium?’"

I'll just settle for watching the game Wednesday night on ESPN2. Is minorleaguebaseball.com the best site to get acurate rosters for both the International League and P-C-L All-Stars?

There should be strong coverage at projo.com and pawtuckettimes.com.

I ve been to many minor league venues and without question Pawtucket is the best.Fans have always been #1 and they have kept ticket prices as low as possible.

Pawtucket was a dying city and offered none of the charm of Providence 5 miles to the south. The Pawsox brought people back and the entire city has prospered.

If you are ever in the area make sure you visit McCoy Stadium. You will have a wonderful time.

Tuesday night nearly 100,000 fans attended the AAA Fanfest in downtown Providence despite a steady drizzle.

The game will be on ESPN2 tonight at 7 Eastern and I hope they can translate the magic of McCoy Stadium.

I was watching that entire game, and it was one of the most thrilling games all season to this point with the International League winning on that game winning home run by Yankee farmhand Andy Phillips of the Columbus, OH Clippers in the bottom of the 10th. Yes, I do remember seeing Andy Phillips when he played college baseball at Alabama. As a Sox fan, I also enjoyed the two perfect innings by Felix Diaz. I just hope he can get it done when he comes back up and not be shaky in the first inning of his upcoming starts or even in relief appearances. As a Braves fan also, I also enjoyed the relief work by Matt Whiteside. I know he is a journeyman, but I feel the Braves need to bring him up to help give a boost to that bullpen. Oh, by the way, the ESPN2 telecast was millions of miles ahead of that pathetic showing Fox gave us Tuesday night, I-E, no Dream Job contestants being involved in the telecast in any way, shape, or form!!!! That was unlike Fox, who managed to turn BOTH the National Anthem AND God Bless America into commercials for that American Idol dreck. See the "Fox Sucks!!!!" thread for more.

Sean McDonough is the BEST TV baseball voice period.

I hope the telecast showed off Pawtucket well.
The Pawsox ownership has always put the fans first. Everything about tonight was first class. The program was a whopping $2 and it would put all 30 MLB teams to shame.
