Last night at the game, we managed to talk our way into the TV seats behind the Twins dugout. We sat with the wife of the Twins pitching coach Dick Such, and Tom Prince's dad. By pure chance of course. We got the seats, and they were there and we met them. Both really nice people.
In the row behind us, there was a Cub fan with his Sox fan girlfriend. As the Sox came out to start the 6th, we were all chattering about what we couldn't talk about. Right about this time the Cub fan looked up at the scoreboard and noticed that the Cubs' were getting pummelled. He made some comment about it and there was laughter. He apparently didn't like that because this was when he stated loudly that there was "No way Glover was gonna throw a no-hitter".
That of course is the ultimate no-no. You never say the words no-hitter or no-no during one. He was deservedly hazed at that point, and even the wife of the Twins pitching coach got on his case. Of course moments later --> ding ding.
