Just like 03 Twins??

The sox are pulling an 03 Twins. Last year if you remember the Twins were basically rotating between 1st and 2nd with the royals up until the last two weeks before the all star break. Then they broke down. Losing something like 10 of their last 12 including 8 in a row leading into the break. They went from 1st to like 6 games out by the break. The looked like crap. But ya know what, they came back in 2nd half. They played great ball. Climbed back into it and then passed us in Sept. We are looking like the exact same situation. By the break if we can be between 0 to 3 games out we have a shot. WE will get our normal lineup back and everyone be healthy and rested, we can make a pretty good run at the twins as long as we aren't like6 to 8 back at the break. The twins are too good to let someone catch up from that far back. This could be a great force......

Like drowning men, we clutch at every straw....unfortunately, this team still reminds me of the 2001, 2002, and 2003 Chicago White Sox with their all-or-nothing offense, problems in the pen, and under-achieving/good-enough-to-make-a-good-show-of-it starting pitching. All in all it smells like a team that can't get the deal done in a weak division. Let's hope they turn it around and play lights out from here, but it's hard to see that happening with what we've been seeing in the first half of the season.
