Once this wave of rains passes, it looks pretty clear. My guess is they should start on time.

There's a line of what looks like really heavy storms bearing down on the Chicago area in the next hour or so -- I'm not leaving my house 'til I'm positive they're getting this one in.

Gee, the Sox never have bad weather when they're at home -- darn the luck.

granted, i'm sitting in sunny burbank, california, but the radar doesn't look so good and local radio seems to think it might be a wash. just my luck, these three games are televised locally.

Its pouring downtown---they'll be delayed 1/2-1 hour.

There's a flood advisory in effect in Cook County. It wouldn't surprise me if Thursday's game turned into a twi-night doubleheader.

The Sox have had really bad luck with bad weather thils year against good teams line the Yankees, Anaheim and other teams that they could otherwise expect to draw above-average crowds.

i just found this on weather.com. it 'forcasts' the game time weather. However, don't put too much stock into it because many of their predictions are based on the last 24 hours. They don't acually forcast for it but it is cool to see the effort.

I would think that they should get it in becasue sox park is great for getting the playing surface ready after a storm unlike the pisser on the other side of town.

they have a spectator index, on a scale of 1-10, telling about the general conditions for watching the game. it is at 7, for good right now expecting to increase to 8, for very good and back down to 7. what a cool thing? i am such a geek.

This sort of reminds me of the Detroit game last July right after the all star break, where the game didn't finish til about 1 am. Also, in that game there most recently aquired stud pitcher of last year, Bartolo was starting that game, while tonight the most recently aquired stud pitcher, Freddy Garcia is starting tonight!:)

did anyone listen to rain delay theater for the cubs game? espn 1000 was on air for 5 hours broadcasting the game and the alternative programming. i can't count how many '2 minute and 10 second breaks' they had.

Radar still looks pretty rough...

Way the Sox have been playing, it might be for the best.
