The six games played between the Cubs and White Sox brought a great deal of sporting excitement to the city. But Guillen was glad to see the whole competition come to a close, until October, that is. "I would love to see what this city would be like with both teams in the World Series," Guillen said with a smile. "But I am glad it's over. I don't know about the players, but I have to deal with so many different things. "Once the games started, it was a great experience," Guillen added.

"I would love to see what this city would be like with both teams in the World Series," Guillen said with a smile.I can tell him what it would be like. In flames. Bodies in the streets. Much wailing and gnashing of teeth. The city wouldn't survive. I can think of several close relatives I might have to do in.

As the interleague games in the NL ballparks revealed, IF the Sox were to get to a World Series this year we better also wish for the AL to have the homefield advantage.

The Sox are seriously handicapped when playing NL baseball, especially with Magglio gone.

Seeing the Sox in the WS against anybody (even the Cubs) would be better than sex, IMO. That would mean we kicked the Spankee's asses. Bring 'em on.

A World Series win against the Cubs counts the same as one against the Dodgers, Cardinals, Phillies, etc. If we should lose, however, we'll never hear the end of it from their fans and media. Besides, a Sox/Cubs match-up in October means that the Cubs have actually made the WS which is something I'd rather not experience, at least living in this city.

There's only one word that could describe the Sox and Cubs in the WS....Pandemonium!

Let's just say there will be many people jumping off the Sears Tower when the outcome has been decided. Or, there will be a spree of killings that will be featured on American Justice. I can see it now, the Red-Line series killings... Hell, lots of insane things will happen. It will be a hell lot more crazier then '92, the same year both the Blackhawks and Bulls were in the finals. It might even top the Super Bowl year, but it might not...

I'd love to beat the Cubs in a World Series, but the consequences of losing it would be absolutely devastating. The media, the fans, the Cub organization would just do us in. It would do this whole franchise in - seriously.

A win would be sweet, but a World Series win period, Cubs or no Cubs, would be awesome. Let's win a Series first before we get all picky-choosy on who we want to face in it.

Only the ones outside of US Cellular will be highlighted.

A Cubs/Sox World Series would make the '68 Democratic Convention Riots look like a peaceful protest.
