From the 7/2 ST: link (http://http://http://www.suntimes.com/output/sox/spx-news-ssep02.html)'In the past, some Sox teams took batting practice at home before heading to Wrigley on a bus in full uniform. But Guillen said he wouldn't do that.

The Sox won't take batting practice today because of an on-field ceremony and probably won't hit before Saturday's game because of the 12:15 p.m. start.

"[Saturday], if we hit, we'll hit there,'' Guillen said. "It's nice to take batting practice there, the only fun thing about Wrigley Field. The fans and the crazy people, I like that.'''

Did the Sox end up taking BP Friday or Saturday? If they didn't, I hope they reverse that thought next year before playing at Wrigley.

Sorry if this was already brought up elsewhere, but I could not find it in "search."

They took BP on Saturday. I was there at 11am and I watched them put a few shots onto the street in LF.

They took BP on Saturday. I was there at 11am and I watched them put a few shots onto the street in LF.Thanks for the feedback. With no cages available to the visitors at “the shrine,” I thought it would be crazy not to get some swings in before the game as Ozzie indicated might be the case for Friday and Saturday.

By Friday’s game end, I was fairly loaded and the sports bar I was at was pretty loud, but I could have sworn Carey let out a “he gawn” when Davis whiffed to end the game. For certain I did hear him call for a gapper and not a “duck snort” when Paterson was up with runners on in Friday’s game. Sounds like he is getting his jabs in at the Sox and Hawk.
