Anyone see that special during the rain delay when they showed all the Sox fans saying this series is more important than winning a WS, and all the great Cubs fans saying the WS is more important. Who wouldn't want a WS over bragging rights in Chicago. The WS is the ultimate bragging right. They purposely painted a poor picture about Sox fans. I know everyone is sick of hearing it, but this wasn't a local bias, this was a nation wide portrayal. Anyway I thought it was stupid.

A second point I wanted to make was my Cub fan friends and brother called me repeatedly today to rub it in about todays game, despite me not saying one word to them when we won the series at the Cell. Just goes to show how hypocritical these guys are. Also my buddy, who claims to be real baseball savvy, said Prior beat us twice. I said oh really, we faced him once there sparky. Just another story of how stupid some of these guys are, but each one is funnier than the last. Can I say :dtroll: s.

Some kid had his face painted blue and red, and said "This is a Cubs town"...not sure if it was on Fox or WGN...

I can't stand Cubs fans!

I can't stand Cubs fans! :mad:A Sox World Series parade down Michigan Avenue would be a celebration beyond my wildest dreams. It would show those (insert incredibly offensive name here; I can't think of one strong enough) exactly whose town this is. Richie Daley would set off the alarms just like his father and all the idiot Cub fans would run for their basements while we would dance in the streets in ecstasy.

I'm ssang, and I'm still an IDIOT!

 Yeah, I saw that segment and I couldn't beleive how biased that little piece was. They probably interview hordes of people but Fox will just edit it until they show clips from certain Sox fans that say the Cub/Sox series is more important than the world friggin' series! Fox Just pops in a few easy clips of Cub fans that say the World Series is more important and BAM, there's your cute little clip for a nationwide audience! Fox can slant that piece to exactly what they want. As for those particualr Sox fans, that was pretty pathetic. I mean I hate the Cubs as much any other sane person out there. But winning the WORLD SERIES IS MUCH MORE IMPORTANT. Ridiculous!

Ridiculous!Agreed. 6 out of 6 in a city series would be great and all, but if the Sox were to win a World Series, I would be shoving it down the throats of all the cub fans who made my winter hell last year every chance I would get from the end of the series to opening day. It would be the ultimate victory over those (insert offensive name again).

I can say the same thing about Sox fans...Sox fans are just as band wagon as most yuppie Cubs fans.

I can say the same thing about Sox fans. Where are you guys in the stands when the Cubs are not in town? Lots of blue seats, when the Sox have just a good a chance of winning their division as the Cubs (probably better). But that's probably the "reinsdorf sucks" thing again. Sox fans are just as band wagon as most yuppie Cubs fans.Right buddy, This was about the media bias as well as my personal relationship with Cubs fans. If you have stories you like to share regarding Sox fans, I'm sure your fellow Cubs fans would love to hear about it. That doesn't change the fact that most of your peers are hypocritical and bandwagoners.

Five will get you ten that they had to interview 200 Sox fans before they could find some idiot to make that statement. Probably the same drillrods who throw home run balls back at the Cell.

I saw that and thought what are the odds that every sox fan they spoke to said they would take a win over cubs rather than a World Series win? And the odds that every cub fan they spoke to went the other way? I was mad that those sox fans would say that but it still is very unlikely that I could find 5 fans out of 30,000 at tuesdays game that would say that. It is dumb for any sox fan to say it and it adds to the perception that sox fans are obsessed beyond logic with the cubbies.

Maybe those were Cub fans disguised as Sox "fans". They would have to be for anyone to say anything that ignorant. Hell, if the Sox lost six straight to the Cubs but still won the World Series, I'd forget about those six games in a hurry.
