View Full Version : Bob Valvano 7/2

I'll admit ESPN Radio is a load of pro-New York/Los Angeles propaganda, but Bob Valvano is the only one of the group of radio personalities that gives the Sox equal time. (Bob has a brain in his head and doesn't need to be told to talk about Kobe or Shaq every 5 minutes.)
Since he filled in for that Lakers/Dodgers kiss-ass Todd Wright all week, we got to hear a lot about our team.
Last night, he had on Dave Campbell for the 4th or 5th time this week, and they both admitted that the White Sox are a team to be reckoned with this year. Five minutes of nothing but White Sox talk on a nationally syndicated radio program.
-Dave said KW is an aggressive GM who has a couple more moves left up his sleeve; most likely pitching.
-The Sox can be where the 2002 Angels and the 2003 Marlins ended up; if the bullpen was a bit deeper.
-The Sox are the only team in the American League that can match up against the Yankees and come out ahead. (History has proved that we've handled the Yanks pretty well.) Oakland, Boston and the other 7 contenders in the AL have too many question marks and concerns to be taken seriously.

Equal time. About time.
