Well that's a good thing, but there's really not very much information on the contract.

Interesting: I'd heard that he wanted Vlady money, but the Tejada thing (72/6 - avg of 12) is much more in line with what I'd think his value is.

Hopefully they can get something done. Something like 65/5 (13mil). With a team option on yr 5 or yr 6 and a buyout if they decline the option.

I like that the Sox are going to try to work a final offer "close to" what Magglio wants. Hopefully, management will prove to him that he isn't quite worth Vladimir type money. Besides, with that extra money we can try to keep Loaiza or Valentin. No offense to Magglio, but has he ever had this kind of first half?
