we'd be in first place, sailing to the post season - AGAIN. But no. Just .500 ball is all we needed! Ugghhh.... Another long off-season awaits us.

It is precisely what we did in those months that leads me to declare that Jer Manuel has been a sham this season. He played the team's three worst hitters at that time on an almost continual basis, giving up virtually 10-12 outs a game in the name of trying to give them a chance to get hot, while many of the team's better hitters languished on the bench or in the minors. No good manager in his right mind does this and, yet, Jer did. We have way too much talent on this team to have been 18 games under .500 at any point during the season. Experimentation should be left to winter ball and spring training and not in April and May. The way I see it, Jer tanked the season by not making winning a priority in those months.

We would've of went to the World Series last year if we could've just beat the mariners in the first round and beat the Yankees in the ALCS.

Would of, Could of, Should of,

We blew chunks in April and May and thats the way it is. The WS thought all they had to do is walk out on to the field and a win would fall on their lap.

By the time they figured out they were an embarrassment on May 23, it was to late. But the team that pretty much singled handly destoyed the Sox chances is coming in today. REVENGE is on our minds and if we don't give them an old fashioned butt whoopin' than it ain't going to be pretty on the board after the game. If we do lose, Do not let young children onto or near this board.

The language won't be pretty... REVENGE
