Now that the SOX-Cubs game on Sunday has been pushed back to the 7:05 ESPN Sunday Night Baseball game, let's invade Wrigleyville with our SOX Gear!!!

I would love to have the opportunity to bring a broom to the game if the SOX are up 2-0 and have pictures of fans outside the park (similar to last year's playoffs - Love the Marlins) only this time all decked out in SOX gear!

That would be sweet:bandance: !!!!

Don't the sox actually have to win the first 2 games, though?

Sox fans would look pretty silly if they lost the 1st 2 games....

I've heard the Cubs security will confiscate brooms at Wrigley if the Flubs have a chance of getting swept in a series. Is that true?

As an aside, I'd like to go to the game Sunday, but I haven't had my shots.:redneck

I'm all for the invasion idea...........it really pisses off all of those limp wristed, cubby loving, sosa-jersey wearing, mark prior fantasizing fans there.

BTW.........did anyone catch how the p.a. guy at the cell played "Summer of 69" after both Sox wins last weekend, just to taunt the cub fans?.............classic.

Well I live by the Urinal, so I will be there, is there any place that all SOx fans plan on congregating in Wrigleyville?

They don't let brooms in the Cell at all, even when the Sox are on the verge of sweeping somebody.

Why's it crap? The Sox do the same thing. Maybe if the *******s that brought brooms could behave with them then security wouldn't have to babysit them.

Bringing a broom to a game is a bad idea anyway. If your team doesn't sweep, you look like a dope holding a broom and open yourself up to all kinds of taunting.
It's kinda like the Oakland Raider fans that dress up in those elaborate costumes for their playoff games. It goes over good if they win, but if they lose it looks real silly walking out all glum with skulls attached to your huge shoulder pads and a bunch of face paint.

I don't see how its any different than simply wearing a shirt or jersey of the team that you're cheering for to ANY game.

A lot of people will have a jersey or a hat. If you go out of your way with something extra you stand out more.

I will be at the game Sunday; I'd be more than willing to hang out with some Sox fans since I'll be travelling there alone. Safety in numbers!

I went to game 3 of the wrigley series last year and brought my broom. They took it away at the gate. The sox lost the game anyway. :(:
My suggestion is to sneek maybe just the broom head in or something.

It might be a good idea to run up to Wisconsin or slide over to Indiana before hitting the beachhead of Wrigleyville... (http://www.whitesoxinteractive.com/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=433998&postcount=1)

When the Sox went for the sweep at Comiskey a few years back, I brought a broom in. They let me. I guess this rule has changed? Anyway, the Sox lost that game anyway. Boy did I feel stupid.

Great idea. Fireworks after every Sox HR and after the Sox sweep(hopefully). Oh yes, make sure there's a large number of Sox fans. Safety in Numbers, especially in a bad neighborhood like Wrigley where you might get shot. I wanna see more black than an Oakland Raider game at the Coliseum. GO SOX!!!! Hell it would be funny if some people started chants.

I will be in the DeVry parking lot around 3.30PM. Then heading somewhere for a quick bite to eat, and then to the shrine!
