Were they looking at future yankmees or Jays? Add to the list below a scout from the D-Backs. Is Johnson available/

From Newsday:
The Athletics, Indians, Reds, Red Sox and Phillies also sent scouts to Monday's Columbus game, as did the parent clubs, the Yankees and Blue Jays.

That is what it appears to be. The D-Backs could save the cash and need some young talent but management wants Randy to retire a D-Back and be the first D-Back HOFer. I wonder if they would take a decent not high end prospect and PTBNL for Johnson. The PTBNL would be Johnson himself so he could go back to Zona for next year. So you give up one prospect and pay the rest of Johnson salary for the year for 3 months of him pitching for you.
