Hey all,

I'm moving to Middletown, NJ in a month. I've lived all my life in the DC area so there was always the O's to go see, or any of the million farm teams in the Maryland and Virginia area. But I don't know of any teams in the central Jersey area other than Trenton.

Anyone that knows of other minor league clubs in the area? Any that play some of the Sox farm teams?

Thanks in advance.

Trenton Thunder (Yankees AA team) comes to mind.

Didn't Henderson and Canseco play for an independant team up there?

Yes, they played for the Newark Bears.

I just did a quick search and I think it was the Newark Bears. THE CELL beat me to it! Anyway, there you go, both Trenton and Newark have teams. Too bad they're owned by:

Haha. Thanks guys. Doesn't look like I'll get to take in any Sox farm hand action, but baseball is still baseball. And you can bet I'll be making the trip up to Yankee stadium every year when the good guys come through.

Thanks again. :gulp:

Hey delben:

I don't think you're too far from here: http://www.lakewoodblueclaws.com/. They are in the same league as Kanapolis (sp).

It's been a few weeks since I checked this thread, but you're right, I'm about 30 minutes from Lakewood, and they'll play Kannapolis in late August, so I'm there!

Thanks kraut. :gulp:
