With the off day today, there is a chance that Loaiza could go Friday and Diaz Saturday. Might be a better match up for the Sox.

Maybe by the weekend the Sox will have another starter via trade.

Just so we don't match up against Clement; the guy has been mowing down everybody. I'd take my chances with the rest of the staff.

Not necisarily Diaz, we need either Diaz or Rauch, not both, so it could be either.

Buehrle
Garcia
Loiaza
Garland
Diaz or Rauch (Until Schoeney comes back)

Diaz or Rauch? I heard it was going to be Rauch, with Diaz being sent down soon.

Why not send down Darensbourg and move Diaz/Rauch to the bullpen?

I think this is definitely the way to go. I'm still not sure why Darensbourg was called up in the first place with Marte and Cotts already on staff since is supposedly was a move to "replace" Adkins while he was gimpy. Moving Rauch or Diaz to the pen instantly makes that unit stronger in my opinion.

I think you want to make sure both of them are still pitching every 5 days. I'm not sure that we can just magically turn any of these guys into relievers. We all know that its completely different than starting.

BobThink I'd rather have both Diaz and Rauch sent down if they aren't going to start in the bigs (or after Schoeney gets back). They need to keep in a 5 day starting rotation in AAA. Assuming one of them isn't traded, one or both of them could be in our starting rotation next season or the year after.

Keep one or the other in the pen and give an outright release to Mike Jackson.

Then who would provide the clubhouse with stories of the invention of the wheel?

With garcia pitching on Wednesday could we see a shift in the pitching matchups moving everyone ahead a day to get the rotation set with

Estabian
Mark
Freddie
Garland
Rauch/Diaz

Is this the worst idea ever?

It's already been announced that Freddy will pitch Wednesday against the Twinkies. Using that and when the guys pitched lasted, I'd say this makes sense:

23 - MB
24 - JR
25 - JG
26 - FD
27 - EL
28 - OFF DAY
29 - MB (5 days rest)
30 - GARCIA (normal rotation from Seattle)
1 - JR (6 days rest assuming FD gets sent down)
2 - JG (6 days rest) vs Zambrano
3 - EL (5 days rest) vs Maddux
4 - MB (4 days rest) vs Rusch
