I thought Phil made a 'between the lines' comment where he was talking about the perception each team got in Chicago before the current Sox ownership took over.

Excellent article. Factual, detailed, NON slanted....if only the sports reported in Chicago could write like that.

I'm not one to point fingers; to be quite honest, I don't care what the Cub fans think of this series. I married into a family of die hard Cub fans, and I do well keeping my mouth shut when it goes one way or the other. In fact, I pulled a bit for the Cubs to do well against the Marlins....I had no problem telling my brother in law he was crazy to think Steve Bartman was the reason they weren't playing in October. He and his father are good natured; it is all in fun - but my brother in law called me this morning and told me he was going to the game today(with customers) and asked me if I wanted to concede defeat to him since I wouldn't be there. I told him to enjoy the fresh air at the concession stand, since at Wrigley is smells like urinal mints. He hung up on me. Oh well.
