Okay,

I want to watch the games this weekend but I don't own a television (and radio won't cut it for the next three days). Can anyone recommend a bar within the city limits where I won't be surrounded by Cub fans? Is anyone meeting up inside the city?

Thanks.

The game will be televised in my den, but I charge more than what you'll pay to get an actual ticket to the game :D:

How can you not own a TV???

If don't mind heading to edge of the Southside, McNally's on 111th and Western you'll find plenty Sox fans.

McNally's also gives away a free round of drinks whenever a Cub's opponent hit a home run during a day game. So there should be plenty of free beer flowing today.

:gulp:

Easily.

1) There's not enough programs I like for me to justify owning one of my own.
2) TV distracts me too much.
3) I read more without one.
4) I write more without one.
5) I can watch sporting events in bars.
6) My wife has a DVD player on her computer (for movies).
7) I like NPR better anyway.

I'll try to make it to McNally's. Thanks everyone.

Honestly, I don't use my television for much during the summer other than the Sox- and even then, I usually have the TV volume turned down and the radio broadcast turned up. Still, doesn't #5 sort of cancel out any positives coming from #2,3 or 4?
