Probably going Tuesday and Thursday.

My sad prediction...3rd place by next Monday. I just do not like the way the Sox are playing right now.

Even good teams have bad road trips (losing 4 of 6 to Mont and FLA surely qualifies as a bad road trip). But good teams rebound from bad road trips to win at home. We need to win the next two serieses (4 vs Clev and 3 vs the Cubs). 5 of 7 would be really nice here.

I wonder if KW will be able to pull something off soon to get us a SP?

Any Magglio update yet?

The Sox desperately need a good homestand. The best bet to take Cleveland is to be patient and get their starters out of the game and into that atrocious bullpen.

I'm not too confident, but here's hoping...

I'll be there. Section 103, row 3. Sox I feel will bounce back today. Homestands are always good for the Sox. Plus no Billy Koch to mess things up.

I'll be there tonight, Wednesday and Friday all in Section 162 Row 1 seat 4 or 5. I'll also be there Sunday in the upper tank.

I am very concerned that you might be right. Most of the posters on this board as well as the media (Les being a major exception) don't give the Tribe much of a chance. But they've been playing well (better than we have), have moved within easy striking distance, and are a young, hungry team with nothing to lose. The Cubs series could go any direction. They won't be taking us for granted this year, and they've been playing well lately (better than we have).

The Sox face 6 very tough starters this week. CC.,Lee,Westbrook,Prior,Zambrano and Maddux is like a murderers row of starters and with our pitching reeling I would take a 3-4 week and actually be happy. The sox could go 1-6 or 0-7 and almost be out of the race after the following week at Twins and Cubs. The season hangs in the balance as the decisions on personnel will be made in the next two weeks. If they fall 5-6 games back in the next two weeks it might be time to trade Maggs and Estaban to contenders for young talent. (pitchers.) The sox farm has little or no starters with real stuff. They need to be realistic and replenish. If they go out and win 9 out of 13 then keep maggs and go out and get a pitcher. It all comes down to the next two weeks. Go Sox.
