I just figured out the pitching probables for this weekends series against the Chubs and it looks like this (assuming news that Rauch is starting on Thursday is true)

Fri: Garland vs. Prior
Sat: Schoenweis vs. Zambrano
Sun: Loazia vs. Maddux

Clearly favors the Cubs, but anything can happen. Would be nice if they could plug Buehrle in there for one of the games. Who knows maybe even make a move this week and land a quality arm to put out there. We've never faced Prior, so it would be nice to give their golden child a healthy beating.

Actually, we have faced Prior, back in 2002 (pretty sure) at Comiskey. I remember Thomas hitting a HR off him.

With respect to all the Sox need to worry about Cleveland first.

You're right. After a horrible road trip (losing 2 of 3 to the lousy Expos) the Sox can't afford to lose 3 of 4 to the Indians.

You know one game can get rained out in Cleveland...let's hope so.

As far as I know, only Uribe and Valentin have faced Maddux in the regular season. Sandy Alomar Jr. faced him during the post-season, and Frank Thomas faced him during the 1994 All Star Game. Konerko may have faced him during his time in the National League, as well.

Pitching matchups mean a lot less at the Cell. It's more a matter of who's hitting then who's pitching.

Are they playing split squad games in both cities at the same time?

remember after the cubs series we play the TWINS, id rather have buehrle start the first game vs minnesota.
twins are more important than the cubs

I agree.

Prior is not who he used to be last year yet and maddux barely gets wins thanx to timely hitting and zambrano i dont worry about. The second zambrano gets roughed up he loses it all.

I would be more worried to face wood or clement due to if they get in the zone they are nigh unhittable.

Isn't it about time for this ScRubs team to choke the season away? What better place to start than The Cell.

I agree, hopefully this can start a nice nose dive for them. But we do have to worry about Cleveland, they are knocking on the door and we cant afford to put ourselves in a terrible position before we play the Cubs. And Cleveland is no pushover this year, no like that really matters to the Sox anyway. I just hope they can take care of business at home this week.
