I remember one of my fantasy drafts before the season began. Griffey was the last pick in the last round.

We laughed, laughed, and laughed at that guy to no end. Now he's in first...

Congrats to Ken!
My son and a friend of his drove down to St. Louis last night to see the game in hopes he'd hit it then. Of course he hit it today. And of course I called him to let him know he missed it.

I really like Junior and I'm glad he's back to his old self. His revival reminds me of when I was younger. I had bought a Mariners hat and decided that I would forge his autograph on the bill of the hat. Unfortunately, I had spelled his name "Griffrey" thus discrediting my poor attempt at a momento.

Some years back, Baseball Digest noted Griffey was the youngest player to have his home run total at the start of the season for anybody the age he was at the time (1996 or 97), but then the injuries set in. A shame.

Good for him. Now maybe the Reds can move beyond this distraction, win 10 in a row and if the Sox can take 5 of 6 from the Cubs...SWEET!:bandance:

Good! I'm tired of all the hype and hearing exactly which announcers he wants to call his 500th HR.

He'll probably get hurt tomorrow.

Congrats to Griffey!

But that had to be the worst 500th Home Run call ever by the color guys for the Reds. The guy was just like "Hey! He finally did it."

I couldn't believe that was the Reds guys at first. They seemed so indifferent.

Congrats to Grif though. It's a shame we didn't see this 2 years ago. :(:

It's also a shame he wasn't the one to break the single season record. I believe he would have caught Maris....damn strike
