Somebody posted here earlier that he had been traded for Brian Meadows. Now the thread is gone. Is that because the trade didn't really happen?

Anybody know?

It's been moved to the WSI road house forum until and if it's confirmed. False info in the clubhouse no gooda!

Ahhh... Thanks for the info. Thought I went crazy for a second there.

The thing is: to me, this is a very believable rumor. With Koch getting dealt and Munoz being sent down the sox will have a roster spot for a reliever. And we all know how unhappy Williams was with Rauch. On top of that Meadows would be a nice acquisition for the sox, and Rauch for Pittsburgh.

I'll be very interested to see if this one comes true or not.

It can't be true because Rauch was just called up.

Until KW makes a trade for a 5th starter, Rauch might be the best there is out there. I mean, the ERA of 5th starters is over 11! I say give the guy another chance; he'll never leave the clubhouse early again. Somehow I think he'll come around, but a trade for a fifth starter is obviously a better plan.

Rauch was not called up today to be the 5th starter. They will need help out of the bullpen after the debacle last night. If starting was the plan, they wouldn't have called him up now. That's not to say he may not end up starting, but that is just not why the move was made today.

Willsy just said that Rauch is penciled in to start Thursday night against the Jndians.

Bring your glove and sit in the outfield seats.

Yeah, that Jake Westbrook won't know what hit him. On a sidenote, the pitching matchups would really seem to favor the Indians 3 out of the 4 games.
