I'm bored, so here are the statistics of the current sox players vs. Armas Jr.

Perez 4-11
Uribe 0-3
Thomas 0-2
Valentin 0-2
Konerko 0-2
Lee 0-2

Hopefully, Perez will be in the lineup and those other guys can get on the board.

Armas was off to a Cy Young start in 2003 when he was struck down with season-ending injuries. Hopefully the surgery has taken away most of his ability; we'll need to hit him hard to make up for the 5th starter.

31 innings isnt long enough to consider someone for a Cy Young start. Otherwise, Joe Kennedy had a Cy Young start too. Armas is a 4 ERA pitcher and I dont know how much better he can do than that. I fully expect us to do well against him today.

Just a guess on my part, but I'm thinking you probably had Claudio Vargas penned in at least for the AS Game too, huh? :?:
