Hi, all. I just found this site, and it's really good.

My impression is that WGN is none too popular here, and correct me if I'm wrong. I know that are very Cubs oriented, but if it wasn't for their showing the occasional Sox game, we fans in places like Kansas would never get to see the Sox. So I guess they aren't all bad. After all, I really hate the Royals, and that's all our FoxSports channel runs here.

same up here in minny. I hated WGN when I was in chicago, but now I like it even though it only shows the sox like once every two weeks. I would rather have it the way it was when they showed like 4-5 cub games a week and 1-3 sox games. To tell you the truth Im actually surprised they show sox games since the tribune owns WGN and the cubs. If it were the other way around Id be pissed if my ownership showed the cubs. But then again their ownership spends money on the team too. If the sox could take on 20 more mill in payroll, look out.

At school these past two years we got WGN and I watched the occasional White Sox game as well as the news every now and then to stay in contact with Chicago. Don't get WGN anymore, however. No big deal.

WinningUgly!, what constitutes as a perfect day? Cards, Astros, Sox winning and the Cubs and Twins losing?

Actually, I think WGN television is probably the most balanced media outlet in Chicago; they seem to plug the upcoming Sox games pretty well. It's the Scum-Times that has completely gone to the dark side.:gulp:

They used to carry 50 games on wgn until they switched about half over to wciu(local station).
I had the same problem when i lived down in dallas,tx.
Of course now with the mlb extra-innings package i get to watch 95% of the White Sox games and a whole lot more. You get on average 10 games a day.
