Three down, many more to go. I know we can pull it off. Don't forget to vote early and often, especially over the weekend.

Vote for Valentin and Crede (http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseball/cs-2004cubssoxallcitybaseballteam,1,5062899.story?col l=cs-home-promo)

I refuse to vote for Crede. Valentin, however, has my full support.

In grand Chicago tradition, anyone can vote an unlimited number of times in the Tribune polls...I find I can hold the 'Vote' button down and it keeps registering countable votes. Sometimes I leave a weight on my Enter key and take a break.

If Crede wins, this is sick.

I've done more than my fair share of strategic voter turnout manipulation, but Crede does not deserve this one.

You may have to leave the results window open while you're pressing Enter in the other window? Hmmm, I wonder if it's a fortuitous gift from my popup blocker or something.

I hate the cubs and therefore ramirez (boy that pirates orginization makes some great trades huh? And KW was fleeced by them!), but ramirez is a better player. That being said I still voted for our sure handed .220 hitter.

Joe just gained about 250 in 1 minute.

Was that anyone here?
If so, how did you do that?

Mods, can we delete all these mass voting threads to "cover-up" our "voting irregularities" and avoid the inevitable media backlash if and when this is discovered? I don't consider us to be above the law, but I'm not above covering up our manipulation of the spirit of the law. :redneck

Definitely one of WSI's crowning achievements. I still laugh about it, especially when I remember how the Cubs fans started complaining over at cubune.com.

We finally beat them at their own "attendance" game...

C'mon, we've gotta pick our spots. Crede over Ramirez? No way, we gotta yield them one or two or else they probably wont bother posting it this year. You know how the Cubune works.

No way... all is fair in love and war. :D:

The tally so far
Martinez 19.3% (102 votes)
Valentin 80.7% (427 votes)

Crede 73.8% (1057 votes)
Ramirez 26.2% (376 votes)

Crede's up in a land slide, and Valentin leads good in percentage. However, there aren't many total votes for shortstop, so maybe someone could vote for Valentin a little more? I'd hate for the Cubs to make a final hour run.

They might cancel it though, if not this year then next year.

Who cares? Is this really like a high point in anyone's year that we're going to ruin? To me it's more of a victory if we ruin their attempt to glorify the Cubs players than if we just have an all Sox starting team. Go Sox Army! :bandance:

They can do the same thing if they want. If they have such a great, loyal, brilliant and organized fan base, shouldn't be a problem for them.

If it can be done, then it is obviously not against the rules. Hey, this is Chicago, baby!

I'm proud of all of you.
