Take the most efficient route you know of to get on I-55 north. Go to the Ashland exit in Chicago, go south on Ashland to 35th. Go east on 35th to Halsted. South on Halsted to 37th. East on 37th to the parking lots. If you stay on 35th, you'll have a hard time getting into the parking lots.

I live in Romeoville, and it takes me 30-40 minutes, of course it all depends on traffic. I have left my house before and 30 inutes later I am getting out of my car at the cell

I'm at County Line and Indian Boundry. There's no good way other than 59 to 55. Don't take Ogden. Too many lights and cops. Takes us about 45 minutes on the weekends.

Rather than taking Ashland, try this: use the Ashland exit, but make a right at Wood st. (first stop sign when you exit). Take Wood to Archer and make a left. Go over the Ashland overpass and stay on Archer until Halsted. Make a right onto Halsted and then a left onto 26th. Take 26th to Wallace and make a right. Take Wallace to 37th and 37th into the lots. You miss a lot of the Ashland and 35th st. traffic this way.

I'm in Joliet. I usually come up 55, but I don't get off on Ashland. I usually take it to 90/94, get off on 31st. Take 31st down past the car wash (about a mile) turn left and pull into parking lot C.

Ever thought about taking 80 east to 57 to 90/94? I'm in Lockport and find that much easier than I55.

Last year I took I-55 to California, and then took 35th street all the way up. It was surprisingly easy to get into the lots that way, but maybe it's different this year.

Take 30 to 119th St. to Weber Rd. Get on 55 and then you can do any of the other suggestions once you get closer to the park. That's how I get there from Montgomery.

It's out of the way for us, and he's further NW than us so I wouldn't recommend that.

Why in the hell does anybody want to live in Oswego? Yeah, homes are cheaper...but there's a reason for that: It's an hour from civilization.

Isn't Oswego a suburb of the SW suburbs?

I guess homes costing an average of $250K might be cheap to some.. but I don't think that's the popular opinion.

Hello there, fellow Oswegoite! I currently go to school in Wisconsin, but spent my young school life growing up in Oswego and graduating as a panther, so I'm glad to see there's at least 1 other sox fan in town.

I would agree with the poster who said take 59 to 55, that'd probably be the fastest way. But with all the recent growth in and around town, I'd give yourself at least an hour to get there. With any kind of traffic problems along the way (which happens often), it'll take closer to an hour fifteen, maybe more.
