I read a stat a few days ago (Jayson Stark, ESPN.com) that showed pitchers that had the most line drives hit off of them and those with the least. The point being that if batters are smoking liners off of you, then you have some problems with your stuff.
Shingo had the third lowest percentage of line drives in MLB!
