Thanks to a few good guesses, I scored 90%. My favorite was No. 17:

17. Who did the White Sox trade to Cinncinati for Paul Konerko?
Correct --
Mike Cameron was traded for Konerko on November 11, 1998.

A. Robin Ventura
B. Harold Baines and Tony Phillips
C. Mike Cameron
D. Jaime Navarro

Don't we all wish it had been D!!

Thanks for pointing this out, skottyj42

70%, I dont feel too ashamed of myself. I dont know how anyone would know for sure the number of no hitters until the 2004 season off the top of their heads, thats kinda of just guessing. But glad I got a lot of the old ones right, made me feel like I knew a little of the history of the team. But it says I gotta watch more games on WGN to be a die-hard. Whens the next WGN game? :D:

jackbrohamer

80%. I never count 1901 as a pennant because there was no World Series that year. Had no idea on the number of no-hitters, and gave Maggs credit for C. Lee's RBI crown last year. Misread the Q about the most wins; thought they meant in a season so I picked Walsh.

It should have been 95%. The last question is wrong. I checked on Baseball Almanac and the answer should be 16...like I originally thought. Damn WGN!

This test is something that old geezer fans like yours truly should do well on. I got a 90. I didn't know how many no hitters Sox pitchers have thrown, and believe it or not forgot how many games we finished behind the Twins last year.

What's interesting is that if you do poorly on the Sox Quiz. It says you should be a Cubs fan. But it doesn't say the same thing if you do poorly on the Cubs Quiz. Now what other businesses does the Tribune own besides their Newspaper? Oh yeah - that's right - the Cubs!

I scored 55% on both the Sox and Cubs quizzes (sorry, but I haven't exactly memorized how many no-hitters White Sox pitchers have had in club history), but I thought the poll response was telling.

If I'm a Sox fan who scored 55%, I get "You must be a Cubs fan, cause you have a lot to learn about the Sox. Watch White Sox baseball on WGN and come back when you're a true fan."

If I'm a Cubs fan who scored 55%, gee, it doesn't say "You must be a Sox fan." It just says I did OK, but I have more to learn about the Cubs.

Ok, I cheated and looked up every answer. It was open book, right? Well the stupid website, marked two answer wrong that were right. I think it is rigged so that no Sox fan can possibly get a 100%.

20. Entering the 2004 season, how many no hitters have Sox pitchers thrown?
Wrong --
18.

A. 12
B. 15
C. 18
D. 21

The White Sox website lists 14 by 15 pitchers (1 was split). So there was no possible way to get this one right.

8. Which pitcher has the most wins in Sox history?
Wrong --
Ted Lyons had 260 wins as a Chicago White Sox pitcher.

A. Ted Lyons
B. Red Faber
C. Ed Walsh
D. Eddie Cicotte

What the hell! I selected the right answer.

It should 80% but that "how many pennants" question tripped me up. I don't count 1901. I also should have known how many loses they had in 1970.

Nah -- remember, it's WGN! The quiz questions are part of the Cubune conspiracy.

I got 85%, missed the ones about total no-hitters, most losses in a season (I lived through that, I think. Had to be 1970!), and the Konerko trade. My excuse is that I was living out of town then . . .
